March 17. Idol Adam Lambert's choice -- Johnny Cash's 1963 hit Ring of Fire -- And Nine Inch Nails Tour Presales begin this week!
Though Cash wasn't really known for his Opry connections -- he got banned from the show after busting out all the footlights on the stage while stoned one night -- it was written by June Carter Cash, who was an Opry member, and it was written about Cash, whom she met backstage at the Opry.
Randy's comments on Adam's performance: "if you could imagine Nine Inch Nails doing a country song, it might sound like that."
Remember, though, that Johnny Cash covered Nine Inch Nails first.
