Wednesday February 15, 2012. Following Bonnie Raitt's righteous tribute to Etta James with Alicia Keys at 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards last Sunday and Rolling Stone Premiere of "Right Down The Line," it is exciting news that more presales will kick off tomorrow for Bonnie's Slipstream Tour 2012!
2012 is shaping up to be the year of Bonnie Raitt. On the heels of releasing 'Slipstream,' a bold, soulful effort that marks her first studio release in seven years (April 10, Redwing Records), Raitt embarks on the first leg of her 70-date tour on May 1. Tickets available for pre-sale started February 8th at the newly revamped www.bonnieraitt.com. Complete ticketing information for the tour is available now.
Raitt's reinvented version of Gerry Rafferty's hit "Right Down The Line," is the first single from 'Slipstream' and has "just the right note of rueful worldly wisdom - and on her guitar solo, she shreds" (Rolling Stone). The single is currently racing up the AAA radio chart, breaking into the Top 20 in less than 2 weeks and becoming the most added track at the format well in advance of its official radio launch date on February 13.

The reason for my letter today is that I wanted to reach out to Bonnie's people and let them know about this man who was sitting quietly among all who were there that night...Sitting upright, with stright back and chest out...smiling and tapping his cane to the rhythm of the music. this well groomed, polite and caring man who devoted half of his life to serving this great nation and has never asked for anything from anyone was more "At ease" than I have ever seen a carrer Marine. I wanted to pass this along to Bonnie Raitt and her entire entourage of amazing people who through their hard work and complete devotion to their jobs made "MY MARINE" one with the world that night.
THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL, Bobbi Kasson

A small extension of this story is that Bonnie's songs formed the basis for getting my wife and I together.
Thanks for you assistance, Mike Wilson
