Grammy Winners Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers "Get Lucky" while Lorde Makes a "Royals" Sweep!

January 26, 2014. "Get Lucky" is the operative buzz phrase from this year's 56th Grammy Awards aired on CBS. Trophies mounted for hugely popular Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers with Album of the Year for RANDOM ACCESS MEMORIES and Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo Performance for "Get Lucky." Pharrell Williams garnered Producer of the Year, Non Classical category.

Songwriter, hit-man from the seventies Paul Williams joined the stage for Album of the Year. Paul made an eloquent and humorous speech "Wow, when I was drinking and using I used to imagine there were things that were not there.  Then I got sober and two robots called to ask me to make an album (laugh)!"

Another flurry of trophies were showered upon pop musician Lorde who snagged awards Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance for "Royals."  Refreshing country singer Kasey Musgraves received a well deserved Best Country Album - SAME TRAILER DIFFERENT PARK.

Best Traditional R&B Perfomance winner with "Please Come Home" went to Gary Clark, Jr. who delivered a righteous performance with Keith Urban. Best Pop Vocal Album - UNORTHODOX JUKEBOX to Bruno Mars and was presented by Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony.

This year's Grammy awards wasted no time diving into a non-stop litany of over the top musical performances of the highest caliber. The expected and the expected prevailed.

Unique and in most cases brilliantly executed collaborations of performers highlighted with Miranda Lambart and Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Beyonce with Jay-Z, Pink Featuring Nate Ruess perform their Grammy nominated "The Truth About Love," with Pink's extraordinary cirque du soleil acrobats.  Metallica, performed an exquisite masterpiece of "Through The Never" with the GRAMMY Cultural Ambassador to China, Lang Lang. Best New Artist winner Macklemore & Ryan Lewis with Trombone Shorty and surprise guest Madonna!

Robin Thicke with Chicago hit the stage playing a montage of Chicago jazz-rock seventies hits prelude into "Blurred Lines." Taylor Swift performed a dramatic piano solo of her hit album from RED. Julia Roberts was ushered as a presenter with the music of Eric Clapton's "Lay Down Sally." Julia announced the 50 year anniversary since The Beatles played Ed Sullivan show and changed the world of rock and roll music. Yoko Ono, wife of late Beatle John Lennon, and her son Sean were in the audience and made a splashy presentation at the awards along with Alicia Keys.

Roberts introduced Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to the stage for a rare performance. Neil Patrick Harris introduced Daft Punk and Stevie Wonder who joined in to perform "Get Lucky." Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merele Haggard, and Blake Shelton performed in honor of Lifetime Achievement Awards. The dream team country collab played timeless hits "Okie from Muskogee" and "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys." that ignited an audience sing-along.

The evening ended up with a highly charged collaboration with Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age with David Grohl and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsay Buckingham.
