October 5, 2011. Soulful, charismatic singer-songwriter Marc Broussard delivered a powerful performance at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale. Wednesday felt like a Saturday as fans filled in to take in the Cajun down home artist. Hailed from Louisiana, Broussard is the definitive sound of blues infused gospel rock that is sweeping the pop charts these days. The set list offered up songs from his critically acclaimed self entitled album as well as signature hits known for their "inspiration for making babies" as Marc put it. The sultry and steamy vibe on the intimate Culture Room stage and in the audience spoke volumes to that sentiment!

Highlights included Marc's latest uplifting hit "Lucky," a heartfelt "Let Me Do It Over" and "Try Me" swooning the audience with its funky syncopation. Broussard showcased his versatility playing electric, acoustic guitars, keyboards and throwing in some handstands to boot! No soul revue would be complete without a bevy of female singers supporting the band and Marc did not miss a beat embellishing the show and the stage with his singing muses. A righteous encore of "Home" brought the house down ending a stellar evening!
