Just Announced: The Band Perry "If I Die Young" reached double platinum!

February 1, 2011. Grammy nominated multi-talented and versatile The Band Perry kicked off their 2011 tour in West Palm Beach. The family trio offered up a set list packed with original music country hits from their debut self entitled album along with rock cover classics from Queen and The Rolling Stones.

Mixed in, the band played a medley with tunes from greats Don McClean and Janis Joplin. The Band Perry describes themselves as a "Crossroads" band - cross between country and rock. Perry family and band members are lead vocals Kimberly, bass player Neil and mandolin Reid.  After the show, the band stayed to do a fan meet and greet with photos!!

With their latest hit, "You Lie," closing in on the Top 5 on the Country Charts, Republic Nashville's The Band Perry learned that their #1 smash hit, “If I Die Young,” had achieved Double Platinum certification from the RIAA for sales exceeding 2 million just as Memorial Day weekend began.

The long weekend is known as the official kick-off to summer and the news came as The Band Perry launched into several headlining dates on Tim McGraw's Emotional Traffic Tour. As summer continues, so too will the high-energy shows as the band celebrates additional accolades.

“It’s been an amazing year! ‘If I Die Young,’ has an inspirational message that so many have embraced and we are humbled that it has impacted so many people. This is truly an honor,” said The Band Perry.
