October 10, 2011. Looking back at the aftermath two months later, Vans Warped Tour would not have been complete without the reggae rock quake of the band Passafire. On August 30, OFC interviewed Passafire's rhythm section, bassist Will Kubley and drummer Nick Kubley, which proved to be a quake in its own right with exclusive spinal tap, behind the scenes Warped Tour stories!

On a serious note, Passafire is stoked about their new album just released September 20, START FROM SCRATCH, which debuted number one on iTunes in its first week. START FROM SCRATCH is the band's first effort on their start up label FlameGuy Records produced by Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers, Sublime, Meat Puppets). START FROM SCRATCH is a righteous, reggae rock album with twelve all original tracks that exemplifies the band's ever evolving style. The title track "Start From Scratch," OFC's personal fave from the album, can be heard on the interview video.

In the interview, the guys talk about how they broke in giving props to the band Pepper who signed up Passafire with LAW records and gave them their "kick start" in 2007.

The foursome from Savannah, Georgia is touring this fall in full force as headliner band traversing the continental US. OFC caught up with Passafire at one of their earlier stops, Guanabanas in Jupiter on September 24, for photo shoot at the tropical tiki bar venue. Check out the interview with Will and Nick on audio and photo montage from the show on video!
